Warnings: Vaguely inappropriate dancing, gay clubs
Author's notes: So, I should never contemplate AUs. Ever. because they spawn things like this, which is basically an all-human, Logan-raising-Laura-and-Daken!AU. Yeah. I really don't have much of a story arc plotted - I'm just letting the characters do whatever the hell they feel like.

Good God, another one...and I don't care that writing Tim Drake fic with the 'angsty' prompt set is a total cliche, its' fun, dammit.

You know what I love? I love gift cards, specifically ones to book stores. As such, I usually use 'em up within a few days, and they're left lying around my house with a few cents left on them collecting dust.
But not always.
So, I had about six old gift cards to my FAVORITE book store, ever (not counting my local comic book store, ilu guys!), and I went to check the balances on them all, and - over forty-five dollars. Considering the bookstore also sells used-but-in-good-condition books for ridiculously low prices, I got to buy a stack of comic books I've been wanting to read for MONTHS. I did that the day before yesterday, and I'm still not done with them, which should give you an idea how much I got.
Ain't random luck grand?
*goes off to drool over $7 Teen Titans trades*

So I've been kind of slacking on my X-Men fandom lately, and I wanted to get back to my comic book roots. (Well, technically that was Runaways, but whatever). And, of course, I really needed one more thing to keep me distracted from my NaNo. Anyways, Guthries are awesome, and so I'm claiming them at XMen15.

So.
NaNoWriMo.
WHY AM I DOING THIS AGAIN?!
It's mocking me, I swear. My pitiful word count. Biding it's time...
Goddammit, self! Why are you so unmotivated? This story is something I'd normally be jumping to write! No confusing magic to write laws and applications for, no mystical creatures to design, and no heterosexuals in sight! /headdesk.
Whyyyyyyy.
And I don't have any comic books to read, either.
WHY CAN'T I WRITE?
...
On an unrelated note, I love my school. Specifically, our GSA. We're so uninformed. Last meeting, we spent the whole time trying to remember which states allow gay marriage. Heh. Massachusetts, Iowa, Connecticut, and Vermont. And soon New Hampshire.

Summary: Nico is a girl on a mission.
Warnings: Angst, kissing, references to violence and death
Author's notes: This...kind of got away from me. My original idea was a lot different - less angsty, more fluffy - but I'm a sucker for dark future-fics, so that's what this turned into. Also, I really don't like writing Karolina. She's my favorite Runaway, and I never feel like I do her justice.
Word count: 1219
Challenge/prompt: 18coda, 1. a cappella (Italian: a, in the manner of + cappella, chapel, choir) one or more vocalists performing without an accompaniment~alone
